                      Type 45, AU+

T-45.  $1.  1862.  Steamship.  Lucy Pickens rt.  Green "ONE" OP.   Very sharp and crisp example which is choice about uncirculated.  One medium, vertical fold which is not firmly embedded in the paper, with a barely visible teller's fold at bottom left.  Clean paper, with essentially full margins and no edge issues or unsightly infractions.  Reveals a nice, even-toned green overprint and a superb, dynamic appearance consistent with a high-quality example.  Choice AU+  $1,895.

Beautiful Type 45 Confederate treasury note, AU+

Type 45 AU+, Superb, clean back

                      Type 19, Choice Fine+

Superb Choice Fine T-19, with good color, full margins and much better-than-average appeal.  The T-19 is truly one of the most desirable types of Confederate treasury notes.  Usually found on average-to-poor-quality paper, the 19 is also typical of the scarce 1861 notes which survived in only relatively samll numbers and usually evidence heavy handling, typical soiling and rather noticeable loss of color and loss of stability.  Most 19s, as well as 15s, 23s and 32s reveal substantial wear and seem lacking in vitality or magnetism.  This 19 presents outstanding quality at a fair price and shows no holes or repairs--or evidence of cleaning.  Overall, Choice Fine+ $6,695. (SOLD)
