       Scarce, historic $100 1839 Republic of Texas Bank Note.            

                                                                             

HIghly collectible and desirable $100 Republic of Texas bank note issued in 1839 and signed by Mirabeau Lamar.  Grades Fine +, cut-canceled.  Cuts are in tact, with no missing pieces and very little air is revealed in the cut seams.  Some handling, minor soiling, but otherwise very presentable and appealing.  Republic of Texas currency is very popular, especially the higher denominations of $100 and $500.  $995.

January 1, 1863.  Unlisted in Medlar.  Grades VG+, conservatively.  Some edge frazzles, minor tears on right border.  Vignette of ship at left.  "Twenty Cents" at right.   $895.
